The Buffalo Sabres inked Luke Adam to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced on Sunday.
The 6-2, 206-pound forward played in parts of four seasons with the Sabre after being drafted by the club in the second round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
Adam has been on the AHL-NHL shuffle and last year led the Rochester Americans in goals (29) while ranking second in points (49). He has twice been an American Hockey League all-star.
Adam had two stints with the Sabres last season and in 87 career NHL games he has recorded 26 points (15 goals, 11 assists.)
In 210 AHL games with the Americans and Portland Pirates, Adam has 161 points (77 goals, 84 assists).
